Vacuum Casting Service

Why our Vacuum casting services?

Vacuum casting is widely used for mass production or small batch production. It produces high quality mould using polyurethane resin. Vacuum casting is used for Engineering products as it is the preferable method forhigh-quality products and low production volume. We not only produce high quality moulds but also provide full finishing services including painting, sanding, pad printing and much more. We help in creating quality models which completely fit in the budget. We offer complete solutions for creating the master pattern and copies using the CAD design. Polyurethane vacuum casting is the best method for making high quality prototype or low volume of parts from inexpensive silicon moulds. We provide comprehensive solution for creating moulds and identical copies of the cad design.

Polyurethane vacuum casting

Vacuum casting or cast urethanes is the best solution for producing quality products without paying the cost of production tooling. At CAD Deziners, we cast small or large parts and we have massive range of material available for your project.

Advantages of polyurethane:
  • Low cost of moulds.
  • Moulds can be created in a few days.
  • Many casting materials are available using over moulding.
  • Copies are highly accurate with smooth surface finish.
  • Perfect for engineering models, samples, and rapid prototypes.

How it works?

Master mould: We prepare a master mould using 3D printing or CNC machining which is made from SLA or SLS. Both provide smooth finish.

Silicon Tool: We pour the liquid silicon in the mould and leave it so that it dries. Once it dries out, we take out the mould which leaves the cavity.

Casting: The resin is poured in the cavity and creates a product replica.

Vacuum casting provides consistent quality like an injection moulding product and saves the cost as it is more economical. Vacuum casting enables you to quickly recreate hundreds of the parts within small span of time.
There are some points to be kept in mind while vacuum casting. Need to take care of the wall thickness. Same as in injection moulding, we need a consistency throughout the model for proper finish and do not design over thick components or walls so as to protect from shrinkage.

Reduce tooling cost: The cost of the mould used in vacuum casting is exceptionally low as compared to injection moulding where we use Aluminium or steel tools.

Lead time of tooling: Manufacturing from urethane casting is less time consuming (8-10 days) then the traditional injection moulding (4-6 weeks).

Various materials: Vacuum casting offers wide range of materials.
Quality parts: Urethane casting offers same strength and finish like injection moulding.
